A Response to COVID-19 Coronavirus 2019

After the increasing coverage and a number of enquiries over the past couple of days  regarding COVID-19 (CoronaVirus 2019) here is a little information for all customers with any concerns. Below is an outline of a plan and policy, as it currently stands. This is provided for information purposes and is in no way intended to cause any concern.

If you have any questions, please contact me.

Overview:

I am closely monitoring updates from the UK Government, Public Health England and the World Health Organization regarding COVID-19. I will continue to take measures to ensure the health and safety of my customers. Their well being is always my priority.

The nature of my work puts me around many different people. This includes weddings and studio photography sessions / location photography sessions. I have (and continue to operate) a very high standard of hygiene both at the studio and while on location. I am considerate to the fact I work around a large number of people of various age ranges and health levels.

I would ask my customers to communicate with me should they find themselves with COVID-19 or display symptoms. You can contact me here. If I find myself in a position where I have been in contact with someone with the virus and/or feel ill I will of course “self isolate” (as per current government advice). I will communicate this to customers directly and also through my website and social media.

All of this information is done in an abundance of caution. I don’t want any customers to unnecessarily worry. I will always work with my customers to find a sensible and reasonable solution. I’ve got your best interests at heart.

Regarding COVID-19, just like anyone else, I will follow any advice from the government made to the general public.

More specific details are below.

Wedding Photography:

I am carrying on with all wedding bookings as planned, unless advice from the government to the public significantly changes. I will exercise a slightly heightened level of hygiene precaution at wedding events. This is done out of an abundance of caution and for the benefit of all customers. This includes avoiding hand shaking and a few more hand washes than normal.

In the event of myself becoming ill, as per our contract I would replace any wedding bookings with another professional photographer. I have a network of photographers I work with and can rely upon. I will work with our clients to cause minimum disruption.

I’d also encourage any wedding photography customers to keep me informed of any changes in circumstance to their booking. This includes contacting me as soon as possible should they find themselves with COVID-19 or display symptoms.

In the unlikely event that government advice discourages events such as weddings I will work with any clients affected to find a solution. I also recommend that you also refer to your wedding insurance (which is always recommended to take out when planning a wedding) for specific details.

It may be worth (if you haven't) to get Insurance. For as little as £50 you can insure your wedding day. It can cover cancellations / postponement “due to any cause which is unforeseen, unavoidable and beyond the control of the INSURED. Get in touch if you would like to send you a link for a quote.

Studio / Family Photography Session:

We will continue to operate as intended with studio photography work – albeit with heightened precautionary hygiene measures. This includes now asking all visitors to my studio to make use of the hand sanitiser / hand wash available upon arrival.

I also clean all Studio areas between every appointment, including use of antibacterial wipes and spray.  This will continue as normal.

If you wish to reschedule your photography session appointment please contact me. These studio appointments can quite easily be rescheduled at a later date with minimal disruption. In the event I need to postpone photography sessions appointments I will contact any customers booked in. In a worst case scenario any studio photography bookings will be rescheduled for a later date.
