Tom & Kayleigh
An elegant, relaxed wedding in the hills of Kerry where there were lots of giggles and the cutest puppy ever!
After a spell of wet and drizzly weddings, it was lovely to see the sun shining on Tom and Kayleigh’s wedding day.
I made my way to the bridal prep at Kayleigh’s parents' house in Kerry, it was such a relaxed morning with her immediate family and penny – their dog! Check out how cute she is!!!
Tom arrived at Gregynog Hall – in his pride a joy – a lorry (I’m sure there is a special make/model name etc. however all I know that is that it was red and has a loud honk, honk – sorry Tom!!)!
Family and friends arrived at the wedding ceremony, which looked beautiful. Kayleigh arrived with her parents and Sister Josie who was her bridesmaid.
Kayleigh, in her stunning bridal dress from Laura May Bridal (Cardiff) and her amazing bouquet which Tom’s mum had arranged – as with all the other wedding flowers, was ready to marry the man of her dreams, with the nerves setting in a little they made their way to walk down the aisle.
One of my favourite photos of their wedding day is the walking down the aisle moment; in one view you have a nervously proud and emotional dad walking his little girl down the aisle and another view of Tom looking at Kayleigh, seeing his bride for the first time, with a massive grin!!! Just perfect!!! Thanks to Tobi (Cadbury Photography) for second shooting with me to be able to capture both angles amazingly.
I’ll always remember the sweet happy excited look on Kayleigh’s face as they were announced husband and wife – you could see the “yayyy we are married” excited look as they gave each other the best hug ever!
With the sun shining they enjoyed reception drinks at Gregynog Hall. We took a few family and couple shots before everyone made their way to the wedding reception. A marquee was waiting for guests in Kerry, and it looked incredible, all the little details came together just perfectly.
Like I mentioned before – we haven’t had much of a summer so it was really great to see guests lapping up the sunshine in their shades, seeing the bride and groom laughing and chatting with friends!
I can honestly say it was one of the most relaxed weddings I have ever been to and this is exactly what Kayeligh and Tom had hoped for, everything was planned to be informal and chilled and it really was that!
They ate some amazing food, a paella and tapas feast, catered by Su Casa Cuisine. They also had a whole table full of desserts to choose from, guests ate and then listened to some humbling speeches from Kayleigh’s Dad, Tom and the best man, all doing a great job!
As Prosecco continued to flow, I snuck off with the bride and groom again for a few more photos, such a fab part of the day and ohhh we had such a giggle! I’m actually sitting here chuckling to myself – it was one of those ‘you had to be there’ stories but Kayleigh had the giggles, there’s me asking them to look into each other's eyes loving haha and then she burst into laughter, over and over again – These are my favourite photos of the day – both were relaxed and happy and were taking it all in they were now married and they were being themselves. And this is what I totally loved about capturing the moment. The love. The endearing looks. The happiness.
Thanks guys for coming out with me for a few more pictures and working with me – the Prosecco, giggles, the cwtches, the relaxed chit chat made my work a dream. Myself and Andy - the video guy who was fab to work alongside, had so much fun and I hope it reflects that in your wedding photos.
As the night guests started to arrive, the band ‘Up all Night’ were ready to entertain the guests – you always know you’re in for a full night of dancing with this band, I always end up staying for one more song, as they just make the dancing shoes come on.
It truly was an amazing day, Kayleigh you looked amazing, Tom very handsome and together you were an absolute delight and I enjoyed being a part of your special day – even with my little words of wisdom in your speech – thumbs up!!
Kind words from the happy couple:“So beautiful and beautiful presentation. Something we can keep forever. I love it so much. Cannot thank you enough. Your work is so lovely and you really captured the day so well. We could not be happier. Thank you so much” Mr & Mrs Clarke
