Adam & Jodie
May 2017 | Walcott Hall
What a beautiful colourful unique venue…. Totally in love with its amazing turquoise Ballroom – my favourite colour ever!!! Not only just the colour but its massive antique mirrors, chandeliers and incredibly tall windows which allow great light into the room. I had been very excited for this wedding day to arrive after meeting Adam and Jodie here for their pre wedding session.
The colours in the garden were stunning, so many wonderful flowers out in bloom which made it feel a little magical as so many hidden pockets around the walled garden and grounds - any wedding would look totally out of this world here and yes Adam and Jodie’s wedding certainly did. And as you'll see they are the sweetest little family.
As I drove over to the venue on the morning of the wedding the black clouds were in my mirror – I really had my fingers crossed they were blowing in the other direction, I’m sure you can all remember how random the weather was – one minute sun shining, sun glasses on – next minute, tipping it down and raincoats on – today we wanted sunny vibes to go with the most incredible sunny yellow flowers!!! The weather was kind (most of the time).
The girls were all getting ready when I arrived, hair and makeup being done and enough time for a little fizz. All the dresses were hung nicely with personalised hangers and the colour theme was amazing, oh my goodness – the most amazing sparkly blue bridal shoes ever!!! Love these! I actually want some! (Take a look below at her shoes and the most vibrant flowers ever!!!)
As I photographed all the wonderful bridal details, it was a chilled morning; Jodie was with her bridesmaids, mum and her adorable little girl, Ellie, who was my second shooter during the morning – how cute is she?
As 1pm approached it was time for Jodie to marry her man. As guests were all sat in the main hall, which was full of character, Adam and his groomsmen were waiting patiently as the bridal party walked down the grand stairs, all eyes on the beautiful bride walking down the aisle smiling away. Jodie looked absolutely stunning in her Morilee by Madeline Gardner dress, a real princess dress! You could feel the excitement in the air as she walked towards Adam.
It was such a lovely ceremony – with Adam and Jodie standing in front of the hall doors, wide open, looking out at the Shropshire hills. As they walked out as Mr and Mrs Williams their smiles were beaming. We took a few family photos before they celebrated with their family and friends in the garden.
We walked around the Walcot Hall grounds for a few couple shot, and of course with Ellie, who certainly is a little princess and looked so adorable in her dress. A beautiful little family.
As the guests made their way into the ballroom, to their tables, they found their seats and I must admit this next moment was one of my favourite parts of the day. The room was roaring with laughter as the guests were being greeted by their place names – they were, in fact, old photos of them as a child or silly unforgettable photos, a unique touch made by the Bride and Groom that was such a giggle.
Speeches followed and laughter continued. Always such heartwarming stories to hear for such a lovely couple. As evening guests arrived the band were set up ready to entertain. Adam and Jodie first danced on the dance floor with little Ellie and then their first dance was just lovely. Still, smiles beaming – a totally in love moment as they had a few moments on their own – simply stunning!
Jodie & Adam – a beautiful pair inside and out – it was a total pleasure photographing your wonderful wedding and one of the most relaxed in such a luxurious setting full of colour and character which complimented your personalities.
Wishing you both and your family lots of love and happiness.
